Inspiration in Silly Places

That photo is pretty much for my husband, who's a huge Ghostbusters fan. I know he'll love it.

Anyway, onto today's subject. Today has been a big money day for me. Not that I'm making any of it, mind you, but I've sure been spending it like crazy.

Okay, it's been on bills.

And groceries.

And, uh, a tabloid magazine. Okay, I admit, it was a frivolous expense, and I never buy the things, mostly I just laugh at the covers in the grocery store line, and move on. But today, I was looking for something, for inspiration for a story maybe, an idea to pluck out of thin air/tabloid news.

I don't really need a new story idea right now, I'm in the middle of working on several projects right now, but you never know.

Not that I think the prediction of Arnold Schwarzenegger choosing to go on Dancing With The Stars to improve his public image will actually come true, but man some of them were hilarious to read.

And there were a couple of very interesting ones in the list of 100 predictions -- several relating to some new advances in medicine relating to regrowing organs and body parts, and there was that other article about the scientists who supposedly opened a time travel tunnel for a nanosecond with subatomic particle generator thingy in Germany. It wasn't their intent, of course, but it happened while trying to move particles at 90% the speed of light.

I really don't need more ideas roaming around in my head, but it's quite fun to look in a new place for inspiration.

Where do you go when looking for inspiration?
